Recent bush fire attack measures are now mandatory and have been implemented as a result of severe fire events.
Forecasts of stronger winter storms and rising sea levels have led to predictions that flooding in Perth will become more common, severe and likely to cause damage to housing in suburbs not previously considered as flood prone.
Approximately 2% of the global insurance premium relates to these events in Australia; however claims are approximately 6%, suggesting our housing is not as resilient as it could be.
